Summary: improve handling of session locking
           Product: kdevelop
           Version: 4.2.0
          Platform: Ubuntu Packages
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: NOR
         Component: session support
        AssignedTo: kdevelop-bugs@kdevelop.org
        ReportedBy: aroth@arsoft-online.com

Version: 4.2.0 (using KDE 4.6.0)
OS: Linux

When kdevelop crashed restarting kdevelop claims that another instance of
kdevelop is already running and does not start until the old lock is removed
manually.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
- start kdevelop with session A
- crash or kill kdevelop
- restart kdevelop

Actual Results:
restart does not give a notice to the user that the session A is already
running.

Expected Results:
check if the other instance is really running (check the recording PID of the
other instance) and if it's running pop up a warning dialog and let the user
decide if he wants to continue.
