It's a Qt bug after all, and according to Thiago the workaround to use PThread
directly where possible is also ok. I'm impressed David, I wouldn't have
thought this is really an issue in Qt!

This is going to be fixed for Qt 4.7.2 hopefully. In an unrelated note: QMutex
is going to see a considerable speedup on Qt 4.8, hopefully we can get rid of
our custom locks in KDevelop then :)
