Are you sure you are not mixing KDevelop libraries:

#6  0x00007fb80399797f in KDevelop::ItemRepository<Utils::SetNodeData,
Utils::SetNodeDataRequest, false, false, 20u,
1048576u>::index(Utils::SetNodeDataRequest const&) ()
   from /usr/lib/libkdevplatformlanguage.so.1
#7  0x00007fb803991e12 in Utils::BasicSetRepository::createSet
(this=0x7fb803bf15a0, i=<value optimized out>)
    at
/var/tmp/portage/dev-util/kdevplatform-1.0.2/work/kdevplatform-1.0.2/language/util/setrepository.cpp:889

I wonder why the former has no extended debug symbols (file, line) while the
latter has it.

Anyhow, since you say you can reproduce it at will, please run kdevelop through
valgrind and show us the log it produces:

kdevelop --sessions => find {...hash...} for your sessions, then
KDEV_SESSION={...hash...} valgrind --track-origins=yes --num-callers=25
kdevelop.bin

thanks
