As said previously by others, KDevelop is supposed to parse your project's
CMake files and figure out what compiler flags and preprocessor definitions are
set, then use that to know what #ifdefs are active.

The real problem is that KDevelop *isn't* understanding your project's CMake
files correctly. From the example posted in comment 5, I tracked this down to
at least three different issues in our CMake parser. I reported two of them as
separate bugs, third pending some more research.

This bug is now marked as "depending" on them, since I'm taking the liberty of
pretending this bug report says and has always said "KDevelop doesn't
understand our CMake files properly, so preprocessor macros don't get set,
here's some sample code".
