I don't think this makes much sense. Apart from the fact that we should use
Debug by default, which exact flags are passed to gcc and wether or not thats
enough for gdb to debug the executable is not under our control. If the
cmake-writer thinks that -g is not useful for Debug mode, then the message-box
won't help as it wouldn't show up.

Not closing for now, I'd like some more opinions on this one.
