Ok, some points:
- My trunk kdelibs is very recent, maybe a week old
- When I reported this bug I noticed later that X would take 50% CPU, and
turning off compositing improves this... Still the text editing is a bit slow,
but much better now
- No time yet to try the raster engine, but I'll certainly look at it.
- Is the delay timer actually reset when doing another keypress? Seems to me
like that is not the case, the delay seems to be from the initial keypress
only. Changing this would already improve things largely, I think.
