Summary: hickup when reloading externally changed files
Product: kdevelop
Version: unspecified
Platform: SuSE RPMs
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: NOR
Component: general
AssignedTo: kdevelop-bugs@kdevelop.org
ReportedBy: hcc@gatech.edu
Version: 3.9.91 (using KDE 4.2.1)
OS: Linux
Installed from: SuSE RPMs
When KDevelop detects externally changed files, it adds a little icon in front
of the file name (in the file tab) and offers to reload the file via a dialog.
However, the "Do you want to reload the file?" dialog does not work properly
when several files have been externally changed.
How to reproduce:
=================
1) open any three files in the single view (no splits), e.g. 1.cpp, 2.cpp,
3.cpp
2) select 1.cpp as the active tab
3) change 2.cpp and 3.cpp externally
KDevelop will notify you of the change and indicate that with icons for 2.cpp
and 3.cpp.
4) select 2.cpp, KDevelop will ask you whether to reload or not - select the
reload option
5) select 3.cpp, KDevelop will NOT ask you to reload
A work around:
* after 2.cpp has been reloaded, select 1.cpp (the non modified file)
* now select 3.cpp, KDevelop will ask you to reload
Expected Behavior:
==================
The reload dialog should pop up independently of the tab active immediatley
before selecting the tab containing the externally modified file.
