No. If you have 30+ items in there, you're doing your builds wrong.

Apart from that, I don't see how the processing of items in parallel could lock
up things. Last I checked there's no threading involved, so if you're talking
about performance of the listviews, I suggest you talk to trolltech or even
better try out Qt4.5 and see wether they improved things there.
