Summary: Support for autoconfiguration based on parsing binaries
                    / make output
           Product: kdevelop
           Version: unspecified
          Platform: Compiled Sources
        OS/Version: unspecified
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: wishlist
          Priority: NOR
         Component: general
        AssignedTo: kdevelop-bugs@kdevelop.org
        ReportedBy: pktoss@gmail.com

Version: (using Devel)
Installed from: Compiled sources

Not all projects use the well known/common build systems like cmake/autotools.

Several projects are Makefile+pkg-config based, the kernel uses kbuild etc,
etc.
For all those projects it would be nice to still be able to have
autoconfiguration
of include paths/libraries at the cost of having to actually compile the
project
once.

E.g., eclipse does not support cmake yet it is relatively easy to just untar
kdevelop somewhere, build it using cmake with the 'verbose' option and have
eclipse observe the output and learn all needed paths from that.

It sure beats having to set these manually :)

This is only useful for the cases where the build system is not 'natively'
integrated of course.
