Summary: kDevelop hangs when importing existing project
Product: kdevelop
Version: unspecified
Platform: Gentoo Packages
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: NOR
Component: general
AssignedTo: kdevelop-bugs kdevelop org
ReportedBy: peter.waller gmail com
Version: 3.5.2-r1 USE="fortran haskell perl python ruby -ada -clearcase \
-cvs -debug -elibc_FreeBSD -java -pascal -perforce -php -sql -subversion -xinerama" \
(using KDE 3.5.9) Installed from: Gentoo Packages
Compiler: gcc (GCC) 4.1.2 (Gentoo 4.1.2 p1.1)
OS: Linux
I am simply trying to edit some existing code from the ROOT project
http://root.cern.ch
Code was obtained with:
svn co https://root.cern.ch/svn/root/trunk root
If I try to import the whole project, kDevelop hangs, using 100% CPU. If I attach \
strace, I can see that nothing is happening, it is frozen on an futex line.
So instead, I tried creating the project and not importing any files. Additionally, I \
turned all plugins off. Then I added just one or two files and directories, which \
occasionally works, but sometimes leads to the same crashing behaviour.

If I kill it and I try to re-open the project I made with it, it hangs again.
I hope this is enough information, let me know if more information is needed.
Regards,
- Peter
