this only applies to a limited number of version control systems (those that force \
the user to tell the VCS system that a file is going to be edited - i.e. lock is \
needed). However this can be done with the KDevelop4 interfaces for VCS systems, we \
just need somebody with such a system and time to help out here. Until then: closed \
as to-be-done-later
