As advised by Amilcar Lucas I'm moving this issue from KDevelop General Forum into \
bug reports.
Here is my post from the Forum:
********************************
Hi KDevelop!
I was working under SUSE with Kdevelop 3.3.5 developing console C++ numerical \
applications.
I'v recently installed Kubuntu 8.04 with 3.5.1 on my DELL Inspiron1501. There are \
some changes to RUN OPTIONS which are really very inconvenient! There is no \
possibility to chose the directory (as it is described in the manual) instead there \
is "Main Program" section which takes in full path to the executable with separate \
arguments fields for debugging and running.
IT JUST DOES NOT MAKE SENSE THIS WAY! While debugging I have to put the exact full \
name of the executable PROJECT_DIR/debug/src/execname just to have a possibility to \
pass the command line arguments into the application. If the executable name field is \
left empty (to pick it up as the current target) - it gives error messages.
At the same time, while building the "optimized" I have to change the executable name \
in Run Options/Main Program field - otherwise it just starts the "debug build" \
because it's exact name is specified. I am forced to run "optimized" in an outside \
console manually while still building it in IDE.
It was really much more convenient in 3.3
Regards,
Leonid
