Summary: cannot create python qt application
Product: kdevelop
Version: unspecified
Platform: Compiled Sources
OS/Version: Linux
Status: NEW
Severity: normal
Priority: NOR
Component: general
AssignedTo: kdevelop-bugs kdevelop org
ReportedBy: dev staerk de
Version: (using KDE 3.5.9)
Installed from: Compiled From Sources
OS: Linux
I cannot create a python qt application. I chose: Project -> New Project -> Python -> \
Python Qt application -> ... -> Finish. I get a message "No active target specified, \
running the application will not work until you make a target active in the Automake \
Manager on the right side or use the Main Program options under Project -> Project \
Options -> Run Options".
This is bad interface design for the following reasons:
* Even if I chose Project -> Project Options -> Run Options, I do not know what to do
* The program could do it for me, my request was only to have a qt python demo \
working
* The program does not tell me one way to do it, it gives me two ways ("Automake \
Manager on the right side" and "Project -> Project Options -> Run Options") but \
neither tells me how to proceed.
Please
* Provide a working demonstration for qt python OR
* Remove "Python Qt application" from the offerings for demo applications
