I've worked with very small Qt4 project (less than 1000 lines in two files). I've set these options in Project Options -> C++ Support -> Code completion:
    - Automatic code completion: 250 msec
    - List global items when performing automatic completion
    - Do complete member-type-evaluation
    - Do complete argument-type-evaluation
    - Automatic arguments hint: 400 msec
    - Show comments in argument hint
    - Preprocess included headers (collect macros and visibility-information)
    - Databases for code auto-completion: none
    - Advanced include-path resolution using make
    - Show type evaluation in status bar
I've worked under this project about 3 hours, and then when I put mouse pointer over completion list of some object properties and scrolled it with mouse wheel KDevelop crased.
Then I've reproduced it twice.
