The problem occurs often but not 100%.  Sometimes it takes different forms: sometimes \
the variables window is always empty regardless of the stack frame I've selected; \
sometimes the variable window has two "Locals" entries rather than one, and sometimes \
the bug is exactly as I initially reported.

I got my KDevelop version number by clicking on Help -> About KDevelop.  So if that's \
not supposed to be reporting "3.5.8", I think there's a bug there.
