If you mean a small white popup with completion hints for your current word, thats \
not code-completion at all. Code-completion is always 2 popups, one for the \
completion and one for extra information (like headerfile and docs if they exist).

I'm not 100% sure where that white popup comes from but usually that one is really \
fast here (even if code-completion is rather slow).

Another way to get some more speed is disabling the parser, to be done under \
Settings->Configure KDevelop->C++ Parsing. Disable the "background parser" and then \
remove the .pcs file from your project dir.
