I had the same thing occur here, 3.4.1 under ubuntu feisty. Imported the linux kernel \
into a project and now kdevelop uses 800MB VIRTUAL/RES reported by top and frequently \
hangs up when saving files or typing in code. Tried running callgrind on kdevelop but \
I have a stripped executable so there is no useful output. There  appears to be an \
issue with scaling to projects with large amounts of code.
