When the "header/source split" option is enabled and set to split the window \
horizontally, the document windows that result from that do not start with equal \
widths. On my Samsung SyncMaster 940nw with the native screen resolution of 1440x900 \
and kdevelop maximized, the left source window is created with a bit over 20cm and \
the right with 17cm.

It would be nice if it was possible to start the split window with equal widths.
