Thats not kdevelops fault, debugging an application that doesn't have debug symbols \
compiled and is compiled without any optimizations is impossible even in plain gdb.

The debugger doesn't know about the build type of the project, there's no way to know \
that. 

And AFAIK its quite common knowledge that you need to build an application in debug \
mode to actually debug it.
