Summary: grep outside project directory no longer works
           Product: kdevelop
           Version: 3.4.1
          Platform: SuSE RPMs
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: NOR
         Component: general
        AssignedTo: kdevelop-bugs kdevelop org
        ReportedBy: robert.leathley ricardo com

Version: 3.4.1 (using KDE KDE 3.5.1)
Installed from: SuSE RPMs
OS: Linux

If you choose a directory in "Find in Files" that is not inside the project \
directory, the .grep.tmp file is empty and nothing is found.

This used to work with 3.4.0 and is useful eg. for finding usages of your current \
method in another library/application.

A few other minor improvements for the grep part:
1) the grep context menu in the editor is not available for a selection, only if you \
position the cursor in a word. This is inconsistent with find and would give more \
control. 2) be able to specify multiple directories to search
