Summary: .kdevelop.pcs and .kdevelop.filelist are stored in
project dir, not with the .kdevelop file
Product: kdevelop
Version: 3.4.0
Platform: Gentoo Packages
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: NOR
Component: general
AssignedTo: kdevelop-bugs kdevelop org
ReportedBy: davidbaker84 hotmail com
Version: 3.4.0 (using KDE KDE 3.5.6)
Installed from: Gentoo Packages
Compiler: gcc 4.1.2
OS: Linux
Kddevleop looks for and creates the <project>.kdevelop.pcs and \
<project>.kdevelop.filelist files in the project directory, whereas the expected \
behaviour would be to create and look for them in the same directory and the \
.kdevelop file:
[13:17] <dbkr_> [13:07] <apaku|work> dbkr_: I don't think putting the .kdevelop files \
outside the source works [13:17] <dbkr_> hmm, that's annoying :(
[13:18] <dbkr_> just means they're sitting there cluttering up my svn status output
[13:18] <apaku|work> dbkr_: add them to svn:ignore.
[13:19] <dbkr_> I would, but other people use the repository that doesn't use \
kdevelop, so it seems a bit daft to have the random files of everybody's IDE-de-jour \
in svn:ignore for every project [13:19] <apaku|work> dbkr_: you can try moving them \
elsewhere and adjust the project directory under Project Options, but I have no clue \
wether that works or not. [13:19] <dbkr_> well it's quite happy keeping the .kdevelop \
file elsewhere [13:20] <dbkr_> but it always recreates the .kdevelop.filelist and \
.kdevelop.pcs in the source dir [13:20] <apaku|work> dbkr_: Hmm, can you file a bug \
please. They should be created at the same position as the .kdevelop file. [13:21] \
<dbkr_> sure
