Summary: class view shouldn't follow editor
           Product: kdevelop
           Version: 3.4.0
          Platform: Compiled Sources
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: wishlist
          Priority: NOR
         Component: general
        AssignedTo: kdevelop-bugs kdevelop org
        ReportedBy: robert.leathley ricardo com

Version: 3.4.0 (using KDE KDE 3.5.1)
Installed from: Compiled From Sources
Compiler: gcc (GCC) 4.1.0
OS: Linux

Whenever you click/type in the editor, the class view moves to show the current \
field. While this may be useful on occasion, it is a problem if you are trying to \
use the class view as a reference (eg. methods and variables presented by another \
class) when writing your new code. It would be better to have "show in class view" \
as a context menu (&keyboard shortcut?) in the editor panel.

In general, automatic behaviour that tries to second guess what you are doing can be \
quite restrictive and annoying as it invariably gets it wrong sometimes. This \
applies to things like selecting and collapsing tab windows etc. Could we have a \
general kdevelop preference "automatic gui behaviour" to turn this kind of thing off?
