Please update your kdelibs to at least 3.5.5. A patch included in most distributions \
for Qt (xim input method) is causing this crash and others with similar backtraces in \
katepart and konsole. There's a fix included in 3.4 which is supposed to work around \
the bug in qt-xim-patch but apparently it doesn't work in all cases. Anyway, KDE3.5.5 \
contains a proper patch (or maybe it was KDE 3.5.6, not 100% sure) for both katepart \
and konsole. Thus I'm closing this as invalid, as the bug is not in KDevelop
