           Summary: file groups plugin very slow /crashes with 'cyclic'
                    symbolic links
           Product: kdevelop
           Version: 3.4.0
          Platform: Compiled Sources
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: crash
          Priority: NOR
         Component: general
        AssignedTo: kdevelop-bugs kdevelop org
        ReportedBy: robert.leathley ricardo com

Version: 3.4.0 (using KDE KDE 3.5.1)
Installed from:    Compiled From Sources
Compiler:          gcc (GCC) 4.1.0
OS:                Linux

The "file groups" plugin takes a long time (~4mins) to load and sometimes crashes \
(see attached stack) when I have 'cyclic' symbolic links:

/some/path/a/myProject.kdevelop*
/some/path/a/link1 -> /some/path/b
/some/path/b/link2 -> /some/path/a

Whilst it is trying to load I have pretty much 100% system cpu load, presumably some \
sort of infinite recursion until it gives up.

This is a problem with both 3.4.0 and \
                svn://anonsvn.kde.org/home/kde/branches/kdevelop/3.4,
