Summary: make better use of space in layout
           Product: kdevelop
           Version: 3.4.0
          Platform: SuSE RPMs
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: wishlist
          Priority: NOR
         Component: general
        AssignedTo: kdevelop-bugs kdevelop org
        ReportedBy: robert.leathley ricardo com

Version: 3.4.0 (using KDE KDE 3.5.1)
Installed from: SuSE RPMs
OS: Linux

3.4.0 compared to earlier versions doesn't use available screen space as well:

1) the bottom left hand corner is used by the bottom widget which doesn't need to be \
this wide, it would be better used for the left widget (variables, class browser etc)

2) the column widths in the variables browser keep resizing (when you select another \
tab and back). The value column is often hidden and needs scrolling: I would like to \
adjust it so they are both visible then have it stay that way.

3) detachable tabs were a nice feature that seems to have gone, particularly useful \
to detach the variables which sometimes could do with being much bigger.
