Okay, so I just found out that I have the same problem.  I see the pausing problem \
described by Raul above, but I'm pretty sure it's normal because when I when open the \
project from an already running instance of KDevelop, it does pause, but then gives \
back control (i.e. no crash).

If anyone is looking for a work-around, look at my duplicate, Bug 135075.
