Summary: Automake manager symbolic links should be relative
           Product: kdevelop
           Version: unspecified
          Platform: RedHat RPMs
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: wishlist
          Priority: NOR
         Component: general
        AssignedTo: kdevelop-bugs kdevelop org
        ReportedBy: arenamaster sbcglobal net

Version: 3.5.3 (using KDE KDE 3.5.3)
Installed from: RedHat RPMs
OS: Linux

When importing an existing file into a subproject via the Automake Manager tab, the \
GUI allows (and encourages) the creation of a symbolic link. This is good, as all of \
my subprojects share common files residing in the main project.

However, the symbolic links are created with absolute paths instead of relative \
paths. This makes it difficult to move/copy the project to another location without \
either re-importing the files or manually setting the symbolic links.

It would be better if KDevelop created relative symbolic links rather than absolute \
symbolic links when importing existing files into subprojects.
