The KDevelop dialog is just a QWizard, which in turn is a QDialog. Your comment seems \
to indicate that _all_ (Qt-)dialogs behave like this? 

If that is the case, then you need to take this up with the developers of Qt \
(Trolltech).

Both KWin and Metacity are listed as compliant with the NetWM spec, (see:
http://www.freedesktop.org/wiki/Standards/wm-spec) so it's a good question what makes \
it work under KWin but not under Metacity.

In either case, as you say, it's a framework level issue, it's not related to \
KDevelop. Closing.
