Summary: Compiler output in reverse order, color coding Messages
           Product: kdevelop
           Version: 3.2.1
          Platform: Compiled Sources
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: wishlist
          Priority: NOR
         Component: general
        AssignedTo: kdevelop-bugs kdevelop org
        ReportedBy: dgary xanthossystems com

Version: 3.2.1 (using KDE KDE 3.4.2)
Installed from: Compiled From Sources
Compiler: GCC 3
OS: Linux

We all know that when a large number or errors spit out, that fixing the first error \
typically fixes the remaining ones.

But we always have to scroll output to find the first error.

What would be nice is an option to have the Messages in kdevelop spit out in reverse \
order, bottom to top instead of top to bottom

so the "last line" you see in Messages is actually the first line printed

thus, the first error/warning you want to see is instantly visible, no scrolling, no \
getting lost in the tangle of output

and color coding messages by type would be nice, normal if;fi blocks for compilation \
in a selectable color for font and background, and the same for warnings, errors, \
normal output, so on
