I just noticed that my Kdevelop was configured to automatically reload the file on \
external changes. I turned off this feature, and the crashes are gone. 

It looks as if when auto reload is on, Kdevelop saves the file, and then fails to \
recognize that it itself is the "external" process that's modified the file.
