Summary: Autocompleter is overzealous and pops up completion
                    dialog too often
           Product: kdevelop
           Version: unspecified
          Platform: Ubuntu Packages
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: NOR
         Component: general
        AssignedTo: kdevelop-bugs kdevelop org
        ReportedBy: kdebugs bluehaze org

Version: 3.3 (using KDE KDE 3.5.0)
Installed from: Ubuntu Packages

The autocompleter pops up far too often in many cases where there is no need \
whatsoever (this is with "Project Options | C++ Specific | Code Completion | \
Automatic code completion" checked).

For example, I might paste a function definition in a class definition, and the \
autocompleter would pop up a list then; or when I undo typing in something, and the \
autocompleter will pop up again. There are many other instances where the \
autocompleter gets in the way.

I might be wrong, but I can't see any possible case where either of the two above \
examples warrant the autocompleter popping up.

(P.S. Checking/unchecking the "Automatic code completion" box does not take effect \
into the project is restarted - should this go in another bug report?)
