I installed that DB-stuff - and everything i fine.
I wonder why that part did not install with the SuSE yast.

I lost -it is a shame, i know- about one week.
That comes because I do have too much (bad) experience with asking somebody.

I hope that will serve as an example for others.

The error is very explicit 
please install Berkeley DB >= 3 and <= 4.1

So please do it and then do:
./configure --with-kdelibsdoxy-dir=/opt/kde3/share/doc/HTML/en/kdelibs-apidocs --with-db-libdir=/usr/lib --with-db-includedir=/usr/include/db41 --with-db-lib=db-4.1

I also have SuSE 9.3 here and it works fine.
