Ladies & Gentlemen
We face a serious challenge here.
I can unfortunately can't attach a screen shot.
This message is sent also to Trolltech,
because we have licensed service there.
I can not watch the QStrings and also the char[x] array in the KDevelop watch window.
The name and the type appear, but there is NO content shown at all.
Memory dumping shows that there IS data at these locations.
And also the amount of content is displayed correctly.
The characters in memory are represented as two-bytes-values,
one being 00. Which is a bit too much, since we need 8 bits only.
I changed to various font types, also for the KDE window itself, but there is no visible change.
I had the same situation two years ago,
at that time I switched off to display the 'statics'.
That didn't make sense for me, but I could see the content of a string.
The dates:
* SuSE 9.3
* KDevelop 3.2.90 KDE:(Using 3.4.0 Level "b" SUSE 9.3)
The KDevelop tool is downloaded, compiled and installed from KDE-net.
But previous versions have the same effect.
* gdb 6.3
* g++ (gcc) 3.3.5 2805117 (prerelease) SUSE Linux
Any help is appreciated.
Best regards - digi
