I discovered this bug when personalizing my toolbars.

After adding the "read only mode" toolbar button to the KatePartView \
toolbar, I noticed that when I switched between open documents, the main \
toolbar shrunked. After a closer inspection, I noticed that when I switched \
to the document that was opened when I personalized the toolbar, the "read \
only mode" buttonwas added and when I switched to another document, the \
first button of the main toolbar was deleted. That behaviour repeats while \
there are buttons in the main toolbar.
