You're wrong about the second part - there is a good reason to show some plugins even \
without a project. You can for instance use the Valgrind frontend as is. The same \
should be (but isn't yet) true for the debugger frontend. Etc.

But I guess it could be nice if the Messages outputview ran clear() on project close. \
