Summary: Qmake manager ignores files when exporting and ignores
project file comments
Product: kdevelop
Version: unspecified
Platform: SuSE RPMs
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: NOR
Component: general
AssignedTo: kdevelop-bugs kdevelop org
ReportedBy: dgorissen gmail com
Version: 3.2.0 (using KDE KDE 3.3.2)
Installed from: SuSE RPMs
Compiler: gcc version 3.3.4 (pre 3.3.5 20040809)
OS: Linux
I have an existing qmake project and wanted to create a kdevelop project file as well. I imported the \
project in kdevelop which worked fine, everything builds. The problem is when I use kdevelop to create a \
source distribution package (tar.gz file):
- Qt designer does not require you list ui.h files explicitly, it always automatically includes them in \
the tar or wherever needed. Kdevelop, however, ignores them, they are not included in the tar. Listing \
the ui.h files explicitly in the project file as headers does not help. They are never shown in the list \
of files.
- Also listing for example "mydir/*.txt" in the qmake project file in the DIST section results in the \
following: creating a tar through qmake will expand the * but kdevelop wont and just ignores it. You \
need to specify each file seperately for it to work (eg: mydir/file1.txt, mydir/file2.txt, ...)
- I also noticed that the kdevelop qmake manager clobbers every prexisting comment (a line starting with \
#) in the original project file
Hope this is usefull
Cheers
Dirk
