I've had this problem and figured it out. It is an autotool problem. My particular \
problem came from the ltmain.sh file included in the admin.tar.gz template in \
KDevelop 3.2.0 . It is a very old version of ltmain.sh (2003). I replaced the file \
with the latest libtool ltmain.sh and everything works as it should now. I have .so \
extensions as normally I should without any problems. Hope this falls under some \
watchful eyes.
