KDevelop is just a frontend to the GNU tools (gcc, libtool, automake, autoconf .... etc)

This is not a KDevelop issue. You are not specifying the correct linking flags to the compiler and/or linker.

Take a look at the templates provided by KDevelop to see how it should work, or read the gcc manual.
