Summary: Project creation/opening fails if Author name contains
                    special characters
           Product: kdevelop
           Version: 3.1.2
          Platform: Gentoo Packages
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: NOR
         Component: general
        AssignedTo: kdevelop-bugs kdevelop org
        ReportedBy: mail martin-schultheiss de

Version: 3.1.2 (using KDE KDE 3.3.2)
Installed from: Gentoo Packages
Compiler: gcc-3.3.4
OS: Linux

If I create a project in kdevelop and the Author field contains some "umlaute" \
(characters like the german ß which is part of my name Martin Schultheiß) then \
after project creation I get the message

This is not a valid project file.
XML error in line XX, column YY:
tag mismatch

and the project can't be opened. No problems when using "Martin Schultheiss" as name.

The project creation dialog should check for invalid characters and warn the user.
