If you start a new project sing kdevelops kicker applet template, it differs in some \
ways to the applet tutorial and what seems to be kde recommended naming.

1) Generated .desktop file is missing
X-KDE-Library = bars_panelapplet
X-KDE-UniqueApplet = false

but has Type and Exec entires instead.

2) src/Makefile.am makes the target name libXXXX.la, but looking at other applets, it \
seems like it should be named XXXX_kickerapplet.la (ie, no lib prefix but a \
kickerapplet suffix)
