Summary: When opening files, the encoding is always defaulted to
                    UTF8 and ignores your preference
           Product: kdevelop
           Version: 3.1.1
          Platform: unspecified
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: NOR
         Component: file selector
        AssignedTo: kdevelop-bugs kdevelop org
        ReportedBy: miles tsolucio com

Version: 3.1.1 (using KDE 3.3.1, SuSE)
Compiler: gcc version 3.3.3 (SuSE Linux)
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.5-7.111-default

All our files use ISO 8859-15, and in the "Configure Editor" section in "Open/Save" I \
change the default to ISO 8859-15.

However, when I choose "File"->"Open" the encoding is always defaulted to UTF8.

This causes great problems if we forget to change it, load the files in, and then \
save out (or worse still "Save All"!).

Regards,

Miles
