Summary: Specified window not raised in childframe mode
Product: kdevelop
Version: 3.1.1
Platform: RedHat RPMs
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: NOR
Component: general
AssignedTo: kdevelop-bugs kdevelop org
ReportedBy: jbarnhill nc rr com
Version: 3.1.1 (using KDE KDE 3.3.1)
Installed from: RedHat RPMs
OS: Linux
I use childframe window mode and pre-3.0 double clicking a filename either in the mdi \
window/file listing, the grep output window, or the file tree window would cause that \
file to be selected and raised to the top of all other windows. But now, and for \
some time (not sure if it was exactly with 3.0 release), this doesn't happen. Double \
clicking (or clicking and hitting enter) the filename in the "File Tree", "File \
Listing" or grep output, causes the "insert focus" to go to that window (ie. if you \
type, it'll go in that window), but the highlighted titlebar stays with the \
previously selected window and the window doesn't change position in the stacking \
order. This is really tough when a window is buried below other windows and you \
can't get to it to click it. It also makes the grep output harder to use, since you \
have to find the filename, then find the window and select it...
I tried switching my default window behavior from "focus follows mouse" to "click to \
focus," but it didn't change anything (which I figured it wouldn't, since kdevelop \
windows don't seem to behave the same as other windows anyway).
I'm using the lastest Enterprise Linux 3 RPMs from kde-redhat apt repository.
