Summary: Code completion for Java projects
           Product: kdevelop
           Version: unspecified
          Platform: Gentoo Packages
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: wishlist
          Priority: NOR
         Component: general
        AssignedTo: kdevelop-bugs kdevelop org
        ReportedBy: jpetso gmx at

Version: 3.1.0 (using KDE KDE 3.3.1)
Installed from: Gentoo Packages
OS: Linux

Seeing that the code completion works for C++ projects, I would love support for Java \
projects too. The Classes sidebar shows the Java classes of the project, so I guess \
that parsing the Java code shouldn't be the big problem.

I think of code completion for the project's own classes as well as the classpath \
ones. That way, all the java.* and similar classes residing in rt.jar would be \
handled as well. Right now, while the Class View is correctly showing the members, \
there is no support for even this.[show class variables].

Please get Java support right, allowing users to drop Netbeans or Eclipse.
