now I understand the reason. But it's a bug anyway. In the past I used "B&H Lucida \
Typewriter" which seemed to be a 'fixed width font'. But the indicator line wasn't \
visible. Now I tryed it with "Misc Fixed" (which looks very ugly for me) and the \
width indicator is working!
