I am making an additional toolBar and adding three icons to the project through the automake manager.  \
The files do no appear in the project after saving exiting and reloading.

The expected behaviour is for them to be available to pick from the automake tree on project reload.  

When opening the icon file with the GIMP from the automake manager in order to edit it the file saved in \
the gimp is not the one that appears if you load it from the automake tree again.
