Summary: Editor setting "Replace tabs with spaces" breaks
                    Makefile layout
           Product: kdevelop
           Version: 3.0.4
          Platform: unspecified
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: NOR
         Component: general
        AssignedTo: kdevelop-bugs kdevelop org
        ReportedBy: mail-kdebugs codingdomain com

Version: 3.0.4 (using KDE 3.2.3, Gentoo)
Compiler: gcc version 3.3.3 20040412 (Gentoo Linux 3.3.3-r6, ssp-3.3.2-2, \
                pie-8.7.6)
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.7-gentoo-r7

I happened to edit a Makefile in KDevelop, because one make/build process gave an \
error. (Makefile.am referred to a file that I'd deleted). I clicked on the error \
message, and modified Makefile.am manually in KDevelop.

Because I convert all tabs to spaces in the editor automatically, this corrupted my \
Makefiles (including the main file for the make-clean target for some reason). Would \
it be an idea to prevent manual makefile editing, or disable the 'tab to spaces' \
setting if a makefile is loaded?

Thanks in advice.
