Hi! Yes, I know it's very annoying when KDevelop segfaults "without" any reason. :-( Sometimes these are compiler/libc problems, sometimes KDevelop bugs. Unfortunaly we can't reproduce these segfaults on our machines, so we need your help. It follows a step by step introduction how to locate segfauls and send us the needed informations. -please compile KDevelop with "./configure --enable-debug;make;make install" -enable core dumps in your /etc/profile, for instance "ulimit -c 30000" -let's KDevelop crash :-) -load the core file into your favorite debugger and send the backtrace and your system configuration to this mailinglist or kdevelop-team@barney.cs.uni-potsdam.de THANKS!
