Subject:    could kget be causing libkimgio problems?

while looking for a solution to the kimgio problem i'm encountering
in trying to compile kdevelop-0.3.1, i realized that when i compiled
and installed kget, it did some things to/with kimgio. 

might this be what is introducing the incompatability that causes
this error for some but not others?
