There some, for example floaing dockwidgets, the "eclipse fast view"
dockwidgets (overlaying the dockwidget over the mainwindow) and
drag'n'drop movement of dockwidgets. 

However there are no plans to work on 3.4 anymore after the release,
except for a few "already known" additions/changes. We developers need
to concentrate on 4.0. And especially Alex has to, as he writes the new
and improved Ui mode in 4.0.
