This problem is typically caused by the c++ plugin not finding Berkeley DB. If the RPM dependency checking isn't what it should be, I guess it's possible to install KDevelop without having a working BDB installation. Run 'ldd' on your libkdevcppsupport.so (this is the C++ language support plugin) - if it reports "not found" for libdb, this is your problem. To solve it, install a bdb version between 3.0.x and 4.1.x (avoid 4.2.x).
